SOUTHEAST ELITE GRASSROOTS ACADEMY IS HOLDING YOUTH TRYOUTS FOR THE 2026-2027 SEASON ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12TH & 19TH AT CENTRAL FLORIDA CHRISTIAN ACADEMY (CFCA).
Positionless Skill Development
Focuses on modern basketball fundamentals for every player, regardless of height. Workouts emphasize ball-handling, perimeter shooting, dynamic decision-making, and spatial awareness so athletes can excel in any system.
Basketball IQ & Film Study Integration
Complements on-court reps with classroom breakdown sessions. Players learn how to read defensive coverages, master pick-and-roll reads, execute situational end-of-game plays, and make fast, unselfish decisions at game speed.
Athletic Performance & Injury Prevention
Incorporates basketball-specific movement training, agility ladder work, vertical explosive power, and proper landing mechanics. Structured load management ensures athletes build endurance without burning out during heavy tournament stretches.
Small-Sided Games & High-Rep Competition
Utilizes 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 controlled scrimmages to increase touch-per-minute counts compared to standard 5v5 scrimmages. This accelerates reaction time, forces quick reads, and builds defensive accountability.
High School & Circuit Readiness
Prepares middle school athletes for the physical and tactical demands of elite high school programs and circuit competition. Focuses on physical contact finishing, court communication, leadership traits, and high-intensity defensive pressure.
Individualized Skill Tracking
Tracks shooting mechanics, defensive metrics, and offensive efficiency over time. Players receive clear, measurable goals each phase to track their growth from pre-season workouts through the summer circuit.

CHECK-IN: 1:45 PM – 2:15 PM
TRYOUTS: 2:15 PM – 3:30 PM
BOYS U9 & U10 (3RD/4TH GRADE | C/O 2035-2036)
CHECK-IN: 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM
TRYOUTS: 4:00 PM – 5:15 PM
